As I read from the list of books which may be useful in formulating such a report, the slow, distant drumbeat of a wise and familiar saying has come to the forefront of my noggin:

I have often, to myself and annoyingly to others, complained about the inadequacy of words to make real that which they purport to describe or represent.
So, with reservations about my self-appointed task, I continue.
